replacement window latch

Post by yardpro »

i am looking for new latches for the small flip up window on my 35. they appear to be the same lathes as on my 28.

they are the wingnut ones.

i have looked and cant find anything similar.
all the ones i can find are all triangular bottom pieces.

Yardpro,
Most of the window latches for Bertram's were made by Perko, some of the early boats had Wilcox-Chritton( spelling) window hardware. Depends on the purchasing agent that was working at that time and the year of the boat.

I recently looked all over for replacements for the latches on my 28. Mine are Perko, and Perko does not make that style anymore, and I could not find anything the same size and shape. The old ones were froze solid and covered in green corrosion, so I soaked them in a mix of vinegar and water overnight and they came out spotless and freed up! Some of the chrome is gone, but they look and work just fine.
