Never saw that ad before, cool to read.
I got a good laugh from the last bit * Put a glass of water in stern test.
Yes when running and turning the glass of water will be fine...but then stop and drift while you boat rocks like a bastard from your own wake sending that glass flying across the stern into the side panel, then watch it go flying across the deck into the other side panel. That works well with beer, soda, buckets of bait and chum too!
Nice to know advertising was always so honest and forthcoming.
