Shipping a 31 from New Hampshire to Ventura, Ca

Post by ryancarmody »

Hello.
My name is Ryan, the proud new owner of a 1968 bertram 31. Does anyone know of someone that can haul the boat from New Hampshire to Southern Calif? Also, the few people I have talked with need to know the height of the boat. Since I'm in California and the boat is on the east coast....would anyone know that measurement?
Thanks in advance and I look forward to getting involved with this awesome site and learning from you all.

Welcome to the board.

I can tell you that it is shown as 12 feet from the top of the windscreen to the chine. You will need to add 3 feet give or take for any additional depth of the hull.

I know there are diagrams some place on this board but I can not find them right now. I thought they were on the old board but don't see them there.

Spoke too soon found this.

You may need to print it out and blow it up to read the numbers.

Hey Ryan!
Welcome! Congratulations! Max and his family loved and used the boat and cared for her well! While I don't know of a specific hauling company, you should be able to transport her over land. No worries. Might have to remove the radar arch, but otherwise be good to go!!! You will love her!
