I saw the picture! Guys were tile fishing in 450 feet of water in the Hudson canyon and on a clam belly they caught one 80lbs Bluefin tuna in 51 degree water. 450 feet down you know that water was not 51 .
Brew, That Bluefin have a survival suit on? Brrrrrr..Hungry fish will show up in the damndest places..You plan on an early start? BH
1966 31 Bahia Mar #316-512....8 years later..Resolute is now a reality..Builder to Boater..285 hours on the clocks..enjoying every minute..how many days till spring?
A couple of weeks ago I noticed some eddies pushing in our direction. Hopefully these are signs of good things to come for these canyons.
FYI
read a good article about Big Eye in Marlin Magazine this week. Never new they feed at depths of 400-600 meters. It is theorized that their eyes have evolved larger and diffently to facilitate feeding in low light. Conversly it is very likely that they have poor vision on the surface with the abundance of light. You don't come across much science on BET's so it was a good to see.
Brewster thanks for info. Trying times when people are talking about fish, and I am High and Dry filling gelcoat holes in preparations for new hardtop next month.

Chris and I had planned on fishing with Timmy on the Tubb. Haven't seen any progress reports recently about the refit so I'm guessing that we're boatless. Not sure what to do....
