Very nice. I still remember sleeping on the engine hatch of my folks 25 cruising from Sag Harbor to Block Island and all the great times we had on that boat as a kid. Those kids will hopefully continue the traditions you introduce them to today. I know they did for me. Great pics!

I didn't post pictures of it, but our daughter cut up the mackerel and put the hook in (she turns 4 tomorrow).... here's a funny follow up:
A week after these pictures were taken, we had some friends visit with their 7 year old daughter, who is an animal lover. Thinking we'd do the same thing (grab bait & then fish for stripers), we jigged up our first mackerel and, when she realized what was planned for the poor mackerel, the 7 year old starting crying and asked us to throw it back. Our 4 year old realized what was happening, so she started crying ("we need bait!!!"). We gave in to our guest, but not before I had a 4 and 7 year old crying their eyes out over the plight of a mackerel. All the parents had a good laugh (amidst wailing children... "so did everyone love fishing?!!?")
