We should be thankful, but.....

Post by Bertramp »

Around 2010 I was living in Florida full time and I got laid off from work (why I'm back north now) ... and I remember saying, I just want another decent job, I'll never complain again.
Well, the good Lord answered and I have a good job, it just happens to be on Long Island.
But, at this very busy, crazy time of year for a bean-counter in New York ........ I just gotta say, as I sit here in the office in Mineola, NY...... I sure as hell would rather be fishin' in the Keys !!!

Steve

I used to know that feeling. Now that I reached the golden age of 66, the job gone south without me, (thank God the Company is a mess now) I worry about other things.

I hope that you reach that point in life. It is truly a much different feeling. However, like Pavlov's dog, I still get the shakes every time the phone rings. When I was at work every time my phone rang it meant trouble and I was always on the dam phone.

Steve,
Was out kite and bottom fishing yesterday. Weather was great, fishing not bad. Saw one sail jump 5x and what I thought was a sail jump and hit a bait turned to be the biggest Cuda I've ever seen (future shark bait)

Man oh man...some people really know how to rub it in.

Steve---I'm still learning that you have to be really careful what you wish for. Cause sometimes your wishes come true...

Let's face it, anyone who participates in this forum lives in very fortunate circumstances.

Now, if it would just stop raining up here in the Pacific NW........
