This part is not fun

Post by CamB25 »

Flattening and fairing. Priming and sanding. Honestly, this part is not much fun. My brother was in town for a couple of days, so I put him to work. We also put the cap back onto the hull again...I'm getting good at this part.

Believe me, perfection is not part of the solution set. We are shooting for reasonable.

You do realize that your definition of "reasonable" equals somebody else's definition of "perfection" right?!... <grin>

Man - that work effort of yours exceeds anything my imagination can think of. All I can say - thank God they sell new boats -- they aren't close to yours in fit and finish, but I wouldn't want to be scratching my assets that are covered in fiberglass dust all week!

My new same SlackerTom, lol!

Yes...left on my own I am dangerous. I have given myself until the end of the year (when my lease expires) to prep the boat for painting then it heads to NC for paint and rigging. After 7+ years of working on it, I really want to start using it. I'll have a punch list, of course, but the basics will be completed.

Thanks, Tom. It'll be a 20 footer...any closer and you'll see all the rough spots.

Looks great. I think that I am just as excited as most here to see her run.
