Actually, this is NOT that crazy... The sheep were releasing gas... All livestock do that... This, though it should have been known during the planning stage, was not taken into consideration and the pilot did the only thing he could do under the circumstances...

Now that (person releasing so much gas in the airplane's head that it becomes a problem for the other passengers) IS a "You can't make this stuff up" item... Especially as the air in the plane gets replaced several times per minute...
