Structural Question B25
Is the B25 front deck strong enough to open up the interior bulkhead ALA JimmyG and create an illusion of more space. Using a back curtain and an open-ish bunk area I might be able to convince the wife to anchor out for the night.

Re: Structural Question B25
Joseph,
The chain locker bulk head does support the front deck between the bow peak and the v-berth hatch. Total removal would necessitate adding more material between the overhead stringers. See: http://bertram31.com/proj/tips/core.htm

Re: Structural Question B25
The flimsy piece of plywood that acts as a bulkhead between the anchor locker and the v-berth supports no load...at least on my boat. The two plywood bulkheads on either side of the v-berth do provide support and when removed the overhanging pieces will flex a little. You may be able to substitute a nice wood dowel or column for the plywood. That would open things up.
