I have used Ajax & water many times, but it takes forever, I am thinking lacquer thinner & 600 grit sandpaper". Anyone have some better ideas?

Try Easy-Off Oven Cleaner. Neutralize with plenty of soap and water.

I used oven cleaner when I first bought my boat back in 2002. Couldn't have been easier.

or just ask your wife to do it for you.

No gloves or mask required...they do that all the time in the confines of an oven, inside a kitchen.

Just remember to have her wash her hands real good before getting dinner started.





hmmm...sure hope "The Bride" doesn't decide to visit this site anytime soon.
If she does, this could be my last post...

Update: I used lacquer thinner & 600'grit sandpaper and the paint came right off. Cleaned up with acetone. Thanks to all .
