Interior Mock-Up Material?

Post by John F. »

I'm redoing Crows Nest's interior. I'd like to find something easy to cut and cheap to mock it up in. If possible, I'd like to mock-up the whole thing. The head compartment and little couch thing I plan for the starboard side. Any ideas? I'm off to Home Depot to see if there's anything there that'll work. Thanks.

A good durable mock material that I've used many, many times is 1/8" door skin. The big box stores usually carry it in the plywood section.

If you have 2 left hands like me try Thermoply as well if you are looking for a non ' craftsman's' material to template with.

Not as easy to cut perhaps as doorskin but a little more 'forgiving' and 'robust'.

Wait..just remembered your paint job posts.....never mind!
