A traditional caique, the only wooden professional fishing boat in Greece, fishing with nets and "paragadi" (a line with many, perhaps as many as 5,000 hooks, distant by a few meters from each other, that fishermen drop at dusk and collect at dawn).

I do not know if the broken plates tradition (so to speak) was a greek one. The fact is, however, that this was abolished by law, some 10-15 years ago, and has been substituted by flowers (mainly carnations) that are dropped/sprinkled on the singer instead.At the end of the song they clean the scene with broom and dustpan and they restart all over again by next song... Not my cup of tea anyway.
