A weighty question
I'm looking at a slip that has a 16,000 lb capacity lift. The lift looks a little marginal to me; so I'm wondering: Does anyone know what a 28 FBC actually weighs?
Re: A weighty question
Dry weight spec from factory with small blocks is 12,060.
Add fuel, water and gingerbread call it 14,000 to be safe.

Kevin..
I thought a B31 weighs about 14,000 wet.. does a B28 weigh about the same as a B31?

Re: A weighty question
B28: 12000 dry, plus 1000 for the diesel differential, plus 1000 for diesel fuel, plus water, plus a/o, in other words what Kevin said.

Re: A weighty question
Thanks, guys. If I go ahead with this I'll be a lot more confident about trying that lift!
