Bad Ass Knife

Post by CaptPatrick »

Afraid of sharks? Bears? Think a knife is too little, to late?

Here's a bad ass knife with a little something extra...

After spending $500 on it, I would hate to find out that a bear only laughs at it.

I don't anything would laugh off that puppy, unless of course you neglected to trigger the CO2...

I call BS. Pretty sure she said you stab the shark, inject it and then it floats to the top. I bet you 500 bucks you can't get a good enough swipe at shark or bear while it is trying to eat you.
You could simultaneously flatten a tire and fill it up though. Just sayin'

As to the $500 price tag, I'm willing to bet that a similar, in function, device could be made in a machine shop and resembling an ice pick on steroids. Harry, you up for a redneck challenge? Remember the zip guns of the 60's. This could be zip pick...

As our buddy Bob says "going to reinvent the wheel...

Why bother with making as ice pick with injection...just use a CO2 wine opener.

Gonna need to open a few bottles before gathering up the balls to stab a bear anyway...might as well enjoy some wine too.

We used to make a spear for hunting bears for a customer years ago. Had to have a plate mounted a foot or so past the tip to stop spear from going in further...otherwise tip went in and kept going in and he'd get closer and closer to the pissed off the bear. He came back each year to modify, make spear a bit shorter...then never heard from him again. Guess he finally got board or became dinner.

Sure! ! ....... I'm always in! ! ! ...... first upgrade is to make this thing about 75' long....... that's as close to a wild bear as I ever intend to be..... otherwise here in the Deep Souff......we would use a "Dog that barks here and Bites there" for self defense ...... this saying is kinda like the "SOL" mystery......should I translate????.....LOL

Of course for $500.00 I could buy a nice used Marlin 444 or 458 Win. bolt action to deal with the bear at a reasonable range!
