The time has come to part with Crows Nest. I bought her from Doug C. in 2013, and he got her in I think 2002. I'm trying to post up some pics. but Imgur just froze up on me.

She has Detroit Diesel 8.2s at 300 hp marinized by J&T. The motors have been good to me, and were good to Doug, but they've been out of production since the late 1980s, are hard to get parts for, and don't have the best reputation. Any prospective buyers needs to do their homework on DD 8.2s. The meters read about 950 hours (I'll check), and I think that's on rebuilds. She has A/C and shore power, a f'glass deck and windshield enclosure (the kind that goes over the existing windshield without taking it out), extended engine boxes, PSS dripless shaft seals, ultra-leather cushions, and the interior has been re-arranged with the head moved forward to open up light in the aft of the boat. If you search my posts, you should able to find all sorts of build pics. on the interior, and under deck.

I'm asking $40,000 or best offer.

I hope all is well. Congratulations on the quick sale.

Are you downsizing? It has been a while since we have heard from you.

All is well. We just weren’t using Crows Nest. I figured that I’ve spent more time cleaning her than running her over the past couple years. That, and she’s going to need a repower sooner or later, and with our lack of use (and my age) I just couldn’t justify the expense of a repower. I still have my B20 that’s in need of a complete restore, and an Edgewater 22 that I inherited when my Dad passed a couple years ago. We may upsize and do some cruising in the future, but we aren’t sure.

Crows Nest is going to a good home in NJ, and I hope the new stewards join the sandbox. I’ll be lurking, and maybe posting now and then

John
