need a little help,are we storing with as little gas as possible or as close to full?.seems like anything in in between is ng.

I have been an advocate of an empty tank with a pre-fill siphoning of any built-up water/ethanol from the bottom of the tank, but I recognize the multiple problems that go along with that. Boat US' most recent mailing recommends filling to 95% leaving 5% for expansion and a more limited area for condensation. It DOES make sense. The Phase separation problem seems to diminish on heavily used boats as opposed to boats that sit with half filled tanks in varied temperatures. If you have an outboard with 6 gallon tanks it's a no-brainer. Empty them. With a B-31 and a couple of hundred gallon fiberglass tank, it's the ethanol laced fuel sitting in your tank all winter that is a problem far worse than Phase separation. If your tank is aluminum or stainless, I'd opt for the 95% fill. Walter
