Hynautic hydraulic steering

Hello good people. Quick question, does anybody know what Bertram installed in the mid 80's in terms of hydraulic steering on their 46's?!… I know it's Hynautic but I need more info on the ram (cylinder)…
Unfortunately the boat is on another continent so I can't just go and look :-)

Navatech,
Most of the 42-46 Bertram's in the late 70's & early 80's had Hynautic steering with separate pressure gauge reservoirs, either RO 6 or RO 7 models. I don't remember what model the rams were, but they were beefy bronze units. The Hynautic systems had copper pipe for all the lines, the Hynautic systems were built before Teleflex bought them out.

If I remember right the helms were H20 series, (square aluminum) that were prone to corrode by the seal and freeze up the shaft and the cylinders were K-31. I also saw K22 cylinders. They were the big rectangular brass cylinders with 4 threaded rods holding the ends on like some strainers.

Resurrecting this thread, I have need of a new/replacement H20 for my 1983 38'
Present unit has been "Rebuilt" twice now, and still leaking.
Any ideas on where I can get a replacement?
