Friday left the shop early got down to the boat to finish up a few small things to get her ready. After the yard guys hour and a half lunch we were up on the sling ready to go! dropped it in messed with the stuffing boxes got them adjusted nice and off to the fuel dock. $500 dollars later we had a half a tank lol went for a little cruise and back to the dock. double checked over everything I just repaired (new tank fuel lines fuel gauge deck supports rudder shelves fixed the auto pilot new shaft couplers and stuffing boxes and hoses )it was beer time!! set out for a shake down Saturday down to tices shoual with a couple of friends she didn't skip a beat 24 knots all the way there and back! fished all day Saturday for some fluke slow day but I was just glad to be on the boat double checked the boxes when we got in one more adjustment and all is well what a great weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!1

24 knots you were cranking those eninges. I would say an easy 3,500 rpms and the back barrels are opening. Thirsty thirsty engine at that point.

2950 rpms I don't have any barrels one big mouth and eight little pissers.... fuel injection !!!

That is pretty sweet. Do you know how many gallons an hour you are burning?

. I tel lyou what my old 454's 350hp, 4 barrell's at 3000 RPM was 19 knots. At 3500 she was cranking and probably did not even hit 25 knots then. However, I will say this, at 3,500, RPM's the hull hit it's stride. The whole ride changed. That is the boats sweet spot.

Good luck with her. If you were at Tice's then you were almost directly across from where I keep it about a mile in from the bay.

I'd be interested in the burn rate at 24kts if ou know it...
