family trip to abacos, place to stay/resort?

Post by spencer »

Looking to head over to the marsh harbour mid august, been there many times but usually on a boat with fishing and diving a priority.

This time bringing family , son is 3.5 years old, and wife, looking for quiet relaxed spot- not taking the boat so dockage is not necessary item.

Any small resorts that people have first hand knowledge of on the out islands?

thanks

Spencer,
We have a house on the South end of Elbow Cay, webcam: http://www.tilloocut.com
From what you are describing I would recommend the following resorts on the island:

I would highly suggest you stay at one of the outer cays, ie Elbow Cay, Guana Cay, Man O War. Much nicer than staying in Marsh Harbour.
Firefly is very new and looks like the accommodations are great; the food is good.

Spencer,
You can also rent a house on most of the islands too. That is very common.
