Reference for surveyor in Sag Harbor

Post by Rawleigh »

Does anyone have a reference for a Surveyor and Detroit mechanic in the Sag harbor area? I have a friend who is looking at a boat (not a Bertram) there. Thanks.

I believe that 'The Detroit guy' is 'English Pete'. But I think that he only comes out for big jobs. What are you talking about?

surveyor - Derrick Galen - didn't know him until he surveyed the snot out of a 15' Boston Whaler I was selling, hated him at the time, but a good guy and a good surveyor. 631-725-7253 use my name (Steve Kelly) as referral
engine survey - Diesel Power Services (admittedly he is a character, but he cut his teeth on Detroit Diesels) - 631-298-9100 use my name (Steve Kelly) as referral

Steve: It is a 1999 39 foot Tiffany with a single 6-71TID 185 HP called "One Day". It was docked in Montauk until last week though. It was custom built in Glebe Point, VA about 10 miles from my house and a friend down in Reedville is looking at it as a charter boat. I knew I could get a good reference from this site up there! Thanks.
