Hello to all in the sandbox, well after many years of lurking here, this is my first post. A good fried and I have aquired a B31 FBSF. Have not got to the hull # yet but will be there very soon. This boat has been on the hard at South Padre for over two years. This last Friday we brought her to her new home for a total rebuild. We feel very fortunate that we have Capt. Pat only 100 miles away, we will be using his advice for the refit. I am now going to try and post some pictures of her when we found her last fall and of the ride back to San Antonio. I want to tell you all that in the past I have learned a great deal from you and I know I can count on you to provide info on this project. I just wish UV was still with us to help, but he is with us in sprit. Thanks in advance for all the help. Les Brown

Looking forward to a visit Less... How'd the surge brakes feel on Hancock's trailer? I completely rebuilt them a few months before his boat left my place, and never got a chance to test them under a load.

Rudders look big.
Good eye John... They appear to be maybe Buck Algonquin after market castings and lacking an inch or two in depth. Also look a bit too far aft like Chris', (Kiffa's), Bahia Mar was before he moved them forward.

Not sure what year she is, but the outrigger base is the same as mine. I have not seen that base on too many other 31's. Good luck with her. She will serve you well.

The boat currently has big block chevs, but will get diesels during the refit. Probably Cummins. She has a/c in the cabin and will get a genset also. This is a complete refit from top to bottom, stem to stern. Will be glassing in the front windows and one piece side windows, she has a aftermarket deck already. She is a 72 or 73 I have not looked at the title as on yet. Should begin the tear down within the next couple of weeks. I will be posting pictures as we progress. LB

Slow but sure, Tim is back in treatment for his cancer, I will be pulling power out in the next few weeks along with the tank. Prayers are needed for Tim. LB

Les,
Sorry to hear that... I'll certainly be rooting for him. Give Tim and Leslie my best.
