Bit of info to pass on re: helms

This took a year and multiple tech's to solve... could save a lot of grief for autopilot installations!

I installed a new Garmin auto pilot on my B 28. It functioned but the helm wheel chattered every time the unit made an adjustment. I have been cruising and have not been in one location very long so unfortunately have had to find new service folks as I have been making my way down the Gulf coast (averaging trips down to the boat about every 2 months and loving it!). After 3 certified Garmin repair technicians, I finally got referred to, Joe Barch, in the Fort Meyers area who made contact with the helm manufacturer, who sent him a part that installs inline on the hydraulic system (no charge for the part) and solved the problem.

Just got back from voyaging down to Broad River, Everglades for an overnighter- worked perfectly!
