rub rail installation

In reading the rub rail installation under builder's tips, I see no mention of caulk, so the question is.....caulk or no caulk?? If caulk, what is recommended?

YES.

I think that I used Sikaflex 291.

mike....you definately used sikaflex....i almost have it removed from my hands but its never coming out of my clothes. stuff never dries.

mikes right i used the silka flex also
lay it in heavey top and bottom of the flange
1968 hull # 316 - 757
