Name on the boat is THUNDERBIRD--anyone know her?

I loaded pic from photobucket---it keeps getting cropped---there is more pic of the bertram on the original pic

What a cool shot... A B31 next to the original hull #1 Jim Smith (Boca Jima??), a couple of Merritts, and whats that in between the two Merritts... a Whittaker??

I know of three 31's that took part in the Cat Cay Tournament one year or another: THUNDERBIRD, HOPALONG, and STORMY PETREL (Tommy Giffords boat)

Great shot. But out of that fleet I'm afraid our beloved 31 is just an ugly duckling

It's browser resolution... In IE10, if I reduce the browser zoom level to 75% the image is shown as smaller, but complete.

I bet she got to the fishing grounds before the others did!!!

Someone had posted in another post but I can't find it now, a 31 with an orange hull. I believe that was Hull #1.

That orange boat is a real early boat---if you look really close --it looks like the bridge is a seperate mold that was attached--also never saw one with that teak trim.
