I keep seeing this posted on other sites. The more I look at it the more I think it is photoshopped. I keep trying to figure out how the wash is running. It just doesn't seem right.

I saw this a while back and I thought it said the capt was backing down full throttle and fell down by the time he got back to the helm it was to late. Just going off memory.

I gotta think he had surge tubes or maybe the inflow of water would have shut the engines down.

The 37 Strike is a nice walk around express.
A shame the capt didn't chase the fish with the pointy end

With a walkaround should have been a no brainer till the fish tuckered out..BH

Checking out the 37 Strike...

Found this one on yachtworld and the scuppers are 3 small holes drilled, wonder if this could have been a big part of the problem...

Faithful,
The video of the Strike 37 fighting a marlin, is total crap. The first few frames show the boat hooked up and the fish jumping. The rest of the video shows a FBC sinking, looks like an Ocean or Viking. The video I watchwd was on AOL 2-16-2013 at 11:15 A.M. What was he using for line 2000 pound test. Total photo shopped crap.

I agree with Pete, I find this hard to believe. I beleive it can happen but I still don't believe it. I think Marlin magazine has been had.
I found this on You tube which is the one Pete is talking about. But take a look, there are about 4 or 5 videos all a little different.
Then read the next one. Looks like a Capt. messed up in rough seas. Who really knows, only the Capt. and the guys on the boat and it looks like they are not going to tell the truth.

What a load of crap! Film 1: NONE of the jumping fish shown was a Black Marlin. The sinking boat is a different boat from film 2 which IS a Striker. Loss of a great boat but has a smell about it.
