stern zinc questions

Planning the transom zinc. Calculations I find suggest Approx. 6 lb zinc. The through bolts and hardware - bronze or S/S? What is the stand off for this zinc? Did I forget anything except leave the Canadian zincs on the shelf.

Also, check & make sure that the zincs are not from China. I have no idea of the Chinese quality, but they are showing up on shelves. Why take a chance?

Mikey,
The transom zinc has two holes, usually drilled for 3/8" bolts. You'll use the first nut, backed with a flat & lock washer as your spacer. Use bronze nuts, bolts, and washers...

Use Camp zincs......made in the Good Ole USA.

Before posting this item I remembered that I had something saved about zincs and reread everything I had archived for three years to no avail.
Duh, as soon as I read your post I remembered that the other archive that I have is "Building Tips" on our home page. You dah man.
