Since I can't access the old BB, I have to ask what the group recommends for ZF 220 tranny fluid. I already have all the specs from ZF, but bottom line what products are you guys using that I can run out to the auto parts store and get without having to translate all the specifications.

Also oils which can be used in both the tranny and engine (Cummins 4BT)?

Thanks.

Troy, I am not at all an expert, but you are not getting too many answers, so I will weigh in. 15W40 is the oil used in most diesel engines and it has detergent properties that keeps soot from building up in a motor, but causes foaming in gears, so people use a straight viscosity oil like 30 weight in the gears. Both types of oil are readily available in auto parts stores.

Troy, I run shell rotella 15-40 in all my heavy equipment and trucks, the gears got rotella straight 30. BH
