Volvo QL trim system

Has anyone installed the Volvo QL trim system on a 31 ? Looking for comments, positive or negative.

Leo,

Several of the members have them, including Gerry Santiago on "Zero Cavity".

They don't adjust fore and aft trim in the same manner that regular trim tabs do. Trim tabs act as an adjustable wedge to force the stern up, where as the QL tabs act more like brakes to pull the bow down, but the perceived result is the same. They're not quite as effective in correcting side to side trim as are the regular tabs, but those that have the QLs don't seem to be bitching about them.

Because the overall tab bar is perfectly straight and the B31 transom has a slightly curved shape, you have to use wedges on the outboard ends so as not to break the housing.
