this is a real tough job for those of you restoring a car. very time consuming and hard on the fingers stretching leather over new foam.entire gauge cluster and center console had to come out to replace radio.now back to the bertram.

Its an automatic! Needs a proper 4-speed-looks like a 1970---last year of high compression

Looks good Bob! Sticks are fun but for 0-whatever nothing beats a turbo400 behind that big block with lets say a 2500 stall converter as If memory serves most of the HP is around 2650rpm or so? Had a 67 Camaro with a 425 hp 427 I miss that car.......................

craig normally yes to the 4-speed but this is the year of turbo 400 . valve body mods and torque convertor make for much better ET. stock 4-speed linkage not so good going thru gears.real nice car mark one of the best.

bob h bumper vettes were the end of a era after 1971 smog controls and plastic bumpers . the hp went down to 180hp only recently gm figure out how to deal with ethanol and smog and really pull some big hp out of the LS series.

Personally I don't think they ever tried to pull hp out of the later model cars...it was the slump of American cars...if they sell leave'em alone. If you can make them better...why.

My 80 had 180hp.
Didn't take much effort to bump hp up a nice amount getting better milage while still passing emmisions.
Didn't take much to tweak suspension bringing cars handling out of the 60's.
How about the shifter...piece of crap! Clunky as hell. A few bucks and a half hour to install a Hurst solved that.
How many years did vettes have those crappy shifters that could have been easily upgraded or redesigned.

GM just didn't care in my opinion...nor did the other US makers. Years of Crap cars.

Gorgeous car Bob !!
I love 'em ... vintages 63 - 67 & 68 - 72.
I pulled up next to a guy with a 70 convertible and tried to explain to him that my 2004 Chrysler Sebring was newer and even had a back seat, so he should trade
.... well, you know how that went !!
