New BUlletin Board
Well, I finally got fed up waiting for the web host to get the final changes made, (that would have made this transition a lot more seamless), and here we are....
Hopefully everyone will get used to this version before long.
The address of the older version is http://bertram31.com/newbb2/ That version has been locked but still viewable. If any of you had topics there that you want to carry over, please feel free to do so.
Sorry for any inconvenience that this change has made, but the change will cure a few security problems and potential crashes that were inherent to the previous version.

Change is never easy, but if this makes administration and security easier everyone will gladly accept it. Thanks once again for all you do.

I hate it, you'll never see me here again!
Who cares about a crash or security???
If your really worried about security....do like the TSA, make everyone take off there shoes before logging on...
Oh looky...Buttons!!!
I do love buttons...
hmmm....a Font Color Button
a BOLD TYPE button
a HUGE TYPE button
alright I'll give it a whirl...
Personally, whatever works best, works for me.
Thanks for the effort in giving us an even better flawless site.

Capt. Pat, thanks for all the hours, blood, sweat and tears that you put into this endeavor. Even though I suffer from techno-phobia, I've been dragged into the 21st century kickin and screamin; so changes and upgrades go with the territory. As with other upgrades over the past what, 13 years, the site continues to get better and better. Thank you for all that you do for this rag-tag bunch of hooligans!

Re: New BUlletin Board
Looks good! Like anything new it will take getting used too..
So it looks like we don't have anything posted between June 19 and Aug 14 (it's locked in the old board), but anything prior to June 19 did carry over.
Just as an example if we wanted to continue Dug's thread about Marine AC, do we have to create a new thread or will those migrate over to the new version at some point? You mentioned we can carry them over, just unclear how too...
Thanks again for your hard work!

I thought my computer had a problem
Thanks, Captain.
Thanks, Captain.
I'm not sure but indecision may or may not be my problem.

Walter,
When you type a Response or just Post in our BULLetin Board... look just above the Box you are writing.
You have choices to change font, color, sizes, italic, bold along with the normal IMG and URL insertions.
Some of those toys where in the old forum, but never really played with'em much other then a pic insertion here and there.

Like my passport being held up by uncle sam, the site wouldn't let me sign on under my commercial ID so I will use my given name.
