He must have been really toten mail to run up on the rocks like that......or a mighty big wave.....

I'll bet it did not hurt the hull......shafts and running gear is another story.

That would really hurt my feelings.

Doesn't look like Boynton Inlet, more like Lake Worth Inlet...

And I'm pretty sure that that's the B31 Express that ran onto the south jetty over 7 years ago. Can't recall the boat name, owner's name, and can't track the original posts.

Unless he ran her onto the jetty again. What's your source of information, Wursty?

Pete, this scean look familar to you?

I'm trying to get more info ...but my source said it happened this past weekend. As soon as i get more info I'll send it into the sandbox. I'm trying to get an article or something documenting date and cause of the event. We can see the painful result... stand by

Guy's,
The boats name was Sandy Bird the incedent happened over the July 4 weekend in 2004, I surveyed that boat in August 2003, it had 240 Yanmars that were installed in June 2003 at Murrell's Marina in Lantana. The boat was driven onto the South jetty at Lake Worth Inlet at 20 knots, minor injuries to the crew but the boat was a mess after being on the rocks for 4 or 5 days. Capt Pat and I looked at it when it was hauled at Cracker Boy, I condemend the boat, the owner had some Mexican do the glass work and I washed my hands of the boat after inspected it again when the glass work was supposely was finished. I looked from inside near the shaft log on the Starboard side and saw daylight from missing thru bolts and they had put false bottom compartments so I could not inspect the rest of the repairs. The owner put it back in the water and I heard that he ran aground in the Bahamas a couple of years latter. The boat was in poor condition after the so called repairs. That's an old picture unless he did it again.

A hell of a place to anchor! I heard the owner went back to Italy to teach a big time cruise ship captain how to get real close to the rocks to impress the people on shore!!!!

Agree that is not the Boynton inlet, as of today the inlet has a board walk on both the north and south side.
