How many MPG does a 31 Bahia Mar with the 240 Yanmars or 250 Cummins get? Is the 170 Yanmars enough power for a 31 Bahia Mar?

If it helps, I get 1.5 nmpg on a pretty heavy Sportsfisherman with 210 Cummins. Sometimes a bit more, but not less.

Buzz,
I have a bahia and used to have the 170's and 2 to 1 gears in her, but have moved up to the 315's. The 170's were perfect for our typical seas here in Tx. We could cruise all day at 20 knts and get 2mpg. If I had a chance to do it all over again, I would have stuck with the 170's, and have much more $'s in my pocket.
Hope this helps.
John.
