Dam you guys are lucky. Boat US 50K 2,000 year NC. Mulitle year no claim discount. They say I am in the Hurricane belt with more claims. I have not had a claim in 17 years. My dad had a claim and was pleased with there service.

Boat US wouldn't take me even with a survey and I've never had a claim on any boat.

Boat US has their own insurance company (think the name is Seaworthy), but they are an agent/underwriter for several other companies as well. I've had policies with them that were with continental. Premiums for coverage in south Florida are UGLY!

BoatUS wouldn't even talk to me after they found out my boat was an '83. Charter Lakes took me with a recent survey no problems. My local Charter Lakes rep said they usually don't take boats as old as mine, but they do accept Bertrams when they won't accept most other boats 25 years old.

THANKS-just got off phone with BOATUS and they are almost half of my last quote, i just had a survey done and the appraised value came back at 170000.00,using that value the quote was 1247.00, with a 1% deductible. know nobody would pay 170000.00 for it cause its an 1981, but wont find a nicer boat for the money in my opinion!anyway, thanks for the feedback, need to send them the survey!
