My brothers took Decoy out to try for tuna and wahoo last week (while I was having knee surgery). The wahoo and tuna did not cooperate, but the jacks did. Here are a few pictures from the trip:

Jack

Is your post to be considered as an invitation for supper with grilled AJ wrapped in Bacon Strips?....LOL

I hope Mr Higgins reads this......he just asked me last week about the length of our fishing season as it pertains to winter.......

Bob.....here we are nearing the middle of January and the bite is still on......and will probably stay that way until mid Feb.....

"looks like a weak fish as we call then up here"

Up there I'd think they're called Groupah. Not a weak fish/grey trout.

Thanks guys. The kids had a blast. Face, that's whiskey, not beer. We start em out right down here. Harry, Decoy is back here in New Orleans, so if you're ever coming to town, please call and we'll go drink some whiskey (or beer) on Lake Pontchartrain. Bob, the fish in the last picture is a Scamp. It's in the grouper family and great to eat. They caught several Crevalle Jack too. Great fighters, but inedible. Here's a picture of one with a frenzy angry jig hanging from it's lip (They caught the grouper on a Frenzy Angry jig too; great lure) :

Here's a picture of an Almico Jack. These are good to eat too, but they do not get as big as amberjack:

Jack,
How's the knee coming along, the kids looked like they had a ball. Do the physical therapy. I know what knee surgery is after 15 operations, good luck.

Pete,

Thanks, I had a Meniscus tear and it's doing well. Going in for 2 to 3 hours of therapy a day. That's amazing that you have been in for so many surgery's! How did you injure your knee?
