I'm just starting to use this voice recognition software, is called Dragon as a matter of fact I'm now typing with this except I'm not typing just talking into a headset. It's Very interesting, may take a little while to get used to it. But I don't have to use spellcheck anymore. I think I like progress after all. Russ

Pretty cool, Russ; but it doesn't do your Yankee accent justice!

It is a system that has been around for a while. Had a woman in my office that used it for a short time, because she broke her hand and could not type.
You will find that some words it will have a problem with. But overall not bad system and is always improving. I have had people tell me that it helps them write better letters.

Tommy, what accent. Brew, it helps me a lot as my spelling is atrocious I'm the product of public schools. What I understand it has fuzzy logic and can learn from your speech patterns. Does anyone really understand southern accent. If you go down to harkers Island you will need a translator. It Is a learning curve for both myself and the Dragon unit. Russ

Russ:
Having fished on an Alex Willis boat out of Harkers Island for years I can completely agree -- it took me months to figure out that when Alex said "urn" he meant IRON.
But, being a dumb yankee, whenever any of the Southern Belles started talking, it really didn't matter what I understood -- whatever they were selling, I was buying, lol!
