I have to brag on Suzannah's fishing trip last Tuesday in Venice. She caught black drum, white trout, speckled trout, flounder, freshwater catfish, and a bass! All in the same place -- Venice is cool.

Marshall - you must save the bass pix to give her friends on her wedding day - talk about funny! Congrats, a Coonass Double Royal Grand Slam. Me & the Bride took our middle grandson, Hunter Roy (just turned 12) to the camp on the Tickfaw River with us Thursday afternoon. He had killed a huge 8 point, dressed at over 200#, on Sunday so he was pretty puffed up. We did some fishing with moderate results then woke up yesterday morning to find largemouth bass chasin' shad all over the canal at our camp. So we went after them with chrome Rattle-Traps off the dock and whacked a few dozen. Kept enough for lunch, sauted' down in real sho' nuff butter.
Cold front came thru last night and the shad & bass were gone this morning.
The all-year fishing is our compensation for the hurricanes.

Yes -- she will see that picture again -- when she least expects it. Congrats on the deer! Not too bad for a 12 year old.
