Questions about 3M products for Capt. Pat

Give me your opinion about the following products.
4000 fast cure, 4200 fast cure, 5200 fast cure and original 5200.
I use original all the time for underwater work.
Also what do you think about plastic spacers for props. The guy next to
me has them. I personally would not use them.

All of fast sets are good, do the same service as the regular, and of course set up much quicker the the regular. The down side on the fast cure products is shelf life, especially after opening. 5200 is the strongest bond, and the lower the number, the weaker the bond strength.

I'd never use anything plastic in a drive train...

i think ive witnessed a few miracles in my life and one was i once opened a year old tube of 5200 and it was still in liquid form and flowed freely from the tube...........this only happened to me once

Put the opened tube in a zip lock and then in the freezer and it wil last. Same for glues like super glue.

More ways to skin a cat than feed it melted butter.......
