water tank removal

Post by Bill G. »

Can someone tell how involved it is to get my leaking fresh water tank out of my 28.It looks like one metal strap but I'm guessing it might be fiberglassed to the board it sits on. Many thanks- Bill G./Quota II

Mine was just sitting on the plywood. Un-did the metal strap, and pulled it out. When I removed mine, it looked like the original. It was bare metal with no adhesive or epoxy or anything holding it down. Might have been a bit of caulk or something, but it came right out.

Your milage may vary.

On the replacement tank, the whole measure twice rule comes into play in a rather harsh manner. Pert near was unable to get the replacement back in there cause it was a bit larger.

Mine wasn't a problem either. Removed the strap and out it came.
