I feel like Ken.

Post by Brewster Minton »

One day a father gets out of work and on his way home he suddenly remembers that it's his daughter's birthday. He pulls over to aToy Shop and asks the sales person, 'How much for one of those Barbie's in the display window?' The salesperson answers, 'Which one do you mean, Sir? We have: Work Out Barbie for $19.95, Shopping Barbie for $19.95, Beach Barbie for $19.95, Disco Barbie for $19.95, Ballerina Barbie for $19.95, Astronaut Barbie for $19.95, Skater Barbie for $19.95, and Divorced Barbie for $265.95'.

The amazed father asks: 'It's what?! Why is the Divorced Barbie
$265.95 and the others only $19.95?'

The annoyed salesperson rolls her eyes, sighs, and answers: 'Sir..., Divorced Barbie comes with: Ken's Car, Ken's House, Ken's Boat, Ken's Furniture, Ken's Computer, one of Ken's Friends, and a key chain made with Ken's balls.

It's best defined as the screwing you get for the screwing you got! If you do the mathematics, hookers make more sense.

To Walter's point -- I remember back to Charlie Sheen's first, second or third public meltdown (don't remember which one) when he was implicated in the Heidi Fleiss scandal == his response was "I never paid anyone for sex -- I paid them to leave after" If only it was that simple!

sadly enough, many of us have suffered the "Ken" scenario.
Trust me when I say, "it's cheaper to keep her" !
I bought a boat and real estate twice. :-(

One of my best friends is the owner of a boat I sailed on for many miles.. we usually had a crew of 5 or 6 for an open ocean long distance race. One of the crew members was a young guy who was head over heels in love with a girl most of us knew.

One day at sea the owner (who had just gone through a nasty divorce) and I were sitting in the cockpit with the young guy and he mentioned he was thinking about asking the girl to marry him.

The owner put his arm around the guy's shoulders in a father to son sort of embrace and said...

"Rick.. do yourself a favor.. instead of getting married, go to the nearest bar you can find.. find the ugliest, nastiest woman in the place.. buy her several drinks, give her all your money and the keys to your house and car..

Then.. get on with the second half of your life!"
