I am interested in your hull color.. is it a diluted Fighting Lady Yellow, or is it a custom mix? Whatever it is, it looks great!

Where did your old boat go? I got a few calls a few weeks ago asking me where I was going in my boat. Another blue hull B31 heading north ICW figured may be you old boat. name unknown.

Frank,
PKS is Pine Knoll Shores, and is a few miles west of Atlantic Beach where Jim Bailey, Runyon Tyler and I are keeping the new Buddy Boy at Anchorage Marina.

Russ,
Thanks to Jim for taking the bull by the horns, the new Buddy Boy is shaping up nicely. She is a 1970 Sportfisherman that has spent virtually her whole life under cover in northern Michigan. John McCallum at Taylor Boatworks removed the old electronics, patched the gelcoat, painted a new bootstripe, and painted the bottom; so we're good to go for a while until we figure out more ways to spend money on her.

Tommy, I don't think you'll have to figure out the ways to spend money....somehow that just figures itself out all by itself. Can't wait to see more pics and progress of your new boat.

Hey wayne, yes that's is a buggy seat, and below that will be a bracket to hold a life raft.the progress is slow but the work is out standing....Russ

Russ:
She is gorgeous -- question regarding raft/buggy seat -- are you beefing up for the added weight so far aft on the bridge? I'd be a bit concered as to all that weight over the back of the bridge as mine was fairly flexible back there.
Anyone have any thoughts or comments?

Tom, yes that was a concern which I brought to the attention of the builder . It has been reinforced internally to carry the weight. shouldn't be a lot of weight up there anyway most people like to sit on the engine boxes...Russ

Russ:
Good to hear - I know mine, as it was built, wouldn't have held the weight that far aft without some beefing up. As you may recall from the pictures I sent you of my hardtop, we ended up carrying the back legs down to the gunnel and then braced that back of the bellyband/rocket launcher from underneath the overhang.
She is going to turn a lot of heads when you splash her!
