Randell on TV

Post by Harry Woods »

Just watched a great interview with Randell on Plum TV. Amazing attention to detail. Those of you that get Plum TV should keep an eye out for it.

Great stuff Randall.... I did read that Plum has essentially laid off their entire staff on Martha's Vineyard. Not sure about the other locations.

Since I'm always amazed at what you do, I posted the video on my Facebook page. Gotta get the word out!

Really a very special gift...

The more I see of your work and how it's done, the more amazed I am.

I have to make a point of actually seeing your work in person as I have a feeling pictures and video just do not do it justice.

Plum made a major marketing mistake in my opinion. They addressed a target audience that spent most of their time in NYC while we locals who can get them on our sets were shown the Aspen, East Hampton high fashioned jet-set lifestyle up the wazoo. If they saved that for weekends, it would be OK. More Randalls, local personalities and history during the week would have been smarter. The same goes for the advertisers they chased. As I said earlier...in my opinion.

I almost wound up on Plum once when my friend Nancy Atlas (East End songstress) was doing an interview of the owner of the Corner Bar in Sag Harbor.
I was not invited there for the interview, I just kinda happened to be there..... it was my one time :-)

nancy's eight and a half months pregnant. saw her at a friends opening thursday night.

carl....i have 2 shows in the city this year...i'll keep you posted. plus i have a piece in a show in jersey city if you find yourself there. whew....gettin home from there yesterday wasn't fun.

walter...when my friend liza and i did our canoe show on plum it really was aimed at the locals but it went way down hill in the last 5 years.....i agree with your opinion. the original idea was to show the local scene to the tourists.....not the other way around.
