Had the zincs changed yesterday. All were partially worn, except the port rudder zinc, which was completely gone.
Grounding issue ?
How to fix ?

thanks

Steve,
1.Check to see if the bonding wire to the rudder linkage is still attached on both ends.

2 Make sure that when new zinc is attached the screw makes good contact with the rudder, also if they have buttons make sure they are making contact tighten down good then hit it with a hammer and re-tighten. Paint build-up around screw hole preventing contact.

3. The Port rudder is closest to your sea wall, check for stray current, broken 120 volt wires, dissimilar metals near by(aluminum sheeting on sea wall vs bronze rudder blade). Check your shore power cord for an open on green wire, also you outlet where it's plugged into.

I've got a corrosion meter if you want me to come down after the 22nd of July, thats when the stitches come out and doctor gives me the OK to do things.

dis-similar metals....like the aluminum ladder on the dock.
Hmmm......maybe it needs a move to the end.
