Through hull hole repair

Laminated in patches for 3 old through hulls per Capt Pats tech tips and they came out better than expected...
Couple of issues though....The area of the hole is still lighter(see through) than surrounding glass.. 1/2 inside 1/2 outside, total of 6 layers of 1708 biax with epoxy for the 2 smaller holes and 8 total for larger 2 1/2" hole..

Is the original glass resin darker or do I need to add more layers..??? The ground out area now seems flush ...
And has anyone used a top interior layer of woven roving to match original look or am I crazy to bother..???

On our B33s Bertram added green coloring to their resin so as to be able to verify wet out and other things when the hulls were being laid up. I imagine they did the same with the B31s.

Sorry.. can't help with your other question.
