Far from finished. Feels a lot like a boat project...

Weather here has been gruesome for the past few weeks with the heat. 107 in the shade this afternoon.

Most of the plants are in and doing pretty well. Those that don't get water from the pond are getting watered heavily every day. Evaporation from the pond is probably running about 10-15 gallons a day, controlled leakage from the bog perimeter helps supply the jasmine, bringing the total pond usage to around 25-30 gal a day.

I introduced a dozen bullfrog tadpoles back in March, 5 graduates to date. The local Rio Grande leopard frogs have found the oasis and up the frog count to 10 or so.

Have totally decided not to stock any fish of any sort. May add a turtle or two later in the year. Not a single snake yet...

Taken this afternoon...

Working on a livewell for Rick Kral at the moment, so won't get back to my stuff until that's finished. Damn resin is almost kicking without catalyst...

Patrick,

With that cool ecosystem, I'm going to nominate you for the Al Gore Earth Day award this year. Gotta love those frogs...

That is a great set up.

Can't believe the snakes have not found it yet. They will. You need some fish. Maybe a bass or two. You could do catch and release.

Its a bit far away from you otherwise, I would like to offer you my turtle cause she is now very big, 20 cms long. She really needs a place like your waterfall. Very nice.
