Every one of us that has posted a pic of our work has done the same. Your just miles ahead of the rest of us.

Real happy to see your notoriety steadily advancing Randy... Now if you could just carve and paint your ego we'd have a sight to see.

Nothing shameless about true talent...

I know scores of artists, some intentionally recognized, some not, most are good, some are excellent.

None holds my fascination like you do.

Having seen Randall's art personally up close I have to say the pictures truly don't do it justice. I cannot even find words to describe how amazing it was. I am truly blown away by Randall's talent.

Congrats Randall

One of the things I like a lot about being a participating member of this union of friends is seeing and sharing of REAL talent. Everyone of us here has real talent in our own area.

I have to say that your talent has to be one of the most unique forms of art that I have ever seen. Your attention to detail is incrediable.

I had the pleasure of meeting you last year at Greenport and I am disappointed that you will not be there again this year...may be next year we can meet and chat for a while.

It ain't braggin or self indulgent if its true.......

You are a very talented guy.....enjoy the spot light

I was also able to see Randall's work up close last week, my thoughts echo yours. One heck of a guy too, well deserved.

It's not self promotion but sharing good fortune with friends.

Randall:

Congratulations and be proud -- there is no shameless self promotion here, you are a master artist/craftsman and I have enjoyed looking at your work for many years.

You are the best at what you do as your awards note!

As Scott said, pictures don't do it justice. The bride and I went to see his newest a couple of years ago at a show in D.C. The best part was watching the faces of the unsuspecting when they learned that each piece was one piece of painted wood. Even when they saw a partially completed piece they were still in disbelief.
Randall, After all these years I am always stunned.

Congrats, little buddy. Quite an honor. Elaine & I are lucky enough to be stewards of some of your work and all that see it are stunned, as we are too.....the statement that "you gotta look at it" is so ture, but you also "gotta touch it" to make sure your eyes are not playing tricks.

Is that the cuttig board you did for Bob Leblanc?

I echo what Dug said...

It ain't bragging if it is true!

Your work is fantastic!

I think I am OK as a self taught woodworker, but put carving chisels in my hands and I am totally useless!
