Can anyone recommend a decent broker who can show a friend /client of mine a few boats in the Ft Lauderdale area when he comes down.

He's looking for a cruiser or fast trawler between 55 and 65 feet.
4-5 years old like a Nordhaven, Grand Banks etc...lots of room big family,

He wants to give them a call to set up some visits..

Thanks
Ray

Hey Ray - the Miami boat show is the middle of Feb. and their in the water brokerage show on Collins Ave. is huge with just that sort of stuff. And they are ready to deal toward the end of that circus.

Ray,
Have your friend call Mike Bass At South Florida Yachts in West Palm Beach, e-mail m.bass@southfloridayachts.com I have worked with him on a couple of that type of boats. He is based in WPB but spends alot of time in Ft. Lauderdale.

Ray,
The brokerage show along Collins Ave is separate (free) from the show at convention center, they had shuttle buses running from center to Collins Ave when I was there 2 years ago. The parking along Collins Ave is limited to 3 or 4 muni lots along the beach side that fill up very early.

We used to park somewhere else, say over by Lincoln Road then take a taxi to the Collins Ave. brokerage show. As Pete says, parking there is impossible, so the bus or a taxi is the deal. It looks like the Miami boat show people finally wised up and quit having the damn thing on Valentine's Day weekend. A divorce lawyer's dream.....
