russ i photo a right angle 316ss vent . put into pictures in document area but it will not upload to my photo bucket account!
i had a problem with a 35' cigarette i had years ago and i notice those old style fuel/holding tank snap off on a regular basis and cause quite a bit off grief. most floating docks/gas docks use a 21/2" fire hose along the top border . the old style rub along side and the "cup" sticking out snaps off . now you have a broken thread inside a 90 degree fitting. on a 31 bertram cockpit panel must be remove etc. i think jupiter boats led off the change but today all quality boats have the stainless steel flush mount right angle vent. no double fitting one piece contruction---foolproof. i relocated all vents and bilge pump thru holes to top side just below rub rail at stern of boat . exactly the same as regulator, everglades, etc.this puts the thru hull way over danger point another word when water goes into thru holes/vents it means the sea water is level with gunnel on the way to davey jones locker!!----GOD forbid this is the only photo you can see the thru holes relocated also gives a clearner line to hull sides with beautiful paint job like yours.

mike you are unbelievable!!! you have total command of the computer while i struggle. russ as mike has shown us this is the one i use and sp does everybody else.
russ i don`t mean to be a critic however you can elect to ignore it or at least think about it . i wish the hell somebody told me while i was building my boat . " BOB DO THE WINDSHIELD FIRST" i would have save a thousand hours of labor including sanding down a paint job like yours on the top side and doing it over----------what a huge mistake!!

Hey Bob, do the strut pads first, running gear and then the windshield!!!

If I were the painter I'd love to know about thru hulls ideas before I filled the paint cup and shot the hull.

Kinda like trying to put the baby back in at this point.

Looks good Russ, keep Scott tight that 27 Silverhawk in the background looks nice.

thanks JP, I think Scotts going to shoot me with all the changes I asked for, but then again alot of the features that have been done were his idea. If you get a chance stop by and have a look..Russ

jp----------na. the struct pads were in real good shape under normal operation ,fourtunately i did put them to the test!!!! other then a new bilge paint in the area the job really did not effect the boat.however if you jump into the new windshield you will be commited to doing the side windows because the windshield determines the configuration of the side windows joint at the point they meet.so when you start there is no turning back do or die!!
