Christmas gift....new wallet

JB gave me a new wallet.
Tonight I am transfering my necessary cards from the old wallet to the new wallet......
Found my draft card from 1969........a bit worn but still legible! !

I think the magical age must be when you still think you are 30.....and it takes you all day to do what you once did all day.

what is the magical age? playboy magazine enterprise founder at 84 yo just became engaged to a 24 yo playmate. possibly leaving a option for capt. patrick------------never say never!

I know the magical age feeling. Now it now not only takes twice as long to do what I did at 30, but it takes longer for me to get stand up when I have bending over or kneeling down.

They want you to register when you are 18 just in case they need to draft again. Don't worry Barry isn't drafting anyone.

Actually guys I have to say that about my only regret in my life is that I never served in the military. In 1969 the military was no place for a dumass kid like myself.......Walter Cronkite was tearing up every day at the number of body bags coming home from Viet Freaking Nam......I still feel like I missed something...not enlisting in the service.

All I have are three APN numbers written on the back of my birth certificate ( I wrote them on it for some profound reason but even that memory is gone now). The last draft call was in 1972 but they kept up the lottery until 1975 to give us dumb ass kids something to worry about.
Here were my lucky numbers for 6/16/1954
1973 -95 - 334
1974 -95 - 130
1975 -95 - 96
One away from a paid vacation in 1976

I sometimes feel the same Harry, but i must say if i went in i would probably want the job of clerk or typest like my father in law!
