Luis - how about sending about a dozen of those surfer gals over to Boston to replace them chubby, ugly New England social worker Pitty-Pat cry-leaders?

Luis, YOU DA MAN!

Luis

Can't see how it can be cold there based on that last picture. That will heat things up a bit.

Luis, how did you get a picture of one of the Patriot's cheerleaders on a blue surfboard? That's a pretty good database...

Randall-

Got it...thanks for the image.....my son said its been fireing recently. I beleive he was out that day. (Last Wednseday?)

Myself...just got back from Thailand/China via London (business trip...fixing problems.), so spent 2 days on the floor of heathrow airport. An adventure for sure.

My winter suit is pretty leaky now..looks like SC(me) might have to do something about that.

Here's a shot from 2 days ago here in Hope Town, Bahamas. We had about 3 days of this. Today the wind is on shore, but I expect with the new cold front coming soon it will be nice again.

Steve-

I've stayed at the abaco inn twice, and know Hopetown a bit (been about 8 years since my last visit so memory is abit foggy)......never had any surf worth rifing during my visits. Where is the shot from. I always knew the place had good surf potential, just never happened for me. Sure looks nice and toasty...wish I was there.

You know gotta mention the whole warm vs cold thing. I always prefer warm......but so does everyone else. In this area, the thing that gets you out in the cold is that for the most part.....about 25% of the people are out, so the for the most part you can ride un encumbered by every half baked yahoo that comes out of the woodwork. Makes freezing your ass of a little easier to take.

This picture is just North of Abaco Inn, a spot called Indicas. Cold is a relative term I guess. We all think this is cold weather. If I had to put booties and a hood on I think I would rather go play in the snow. The surf here is nice quite frequently due to the reef bottom and no obstructions between us and open ocean.

nice shot steve!! i went to a christmas party two nights ago and about eight of the folks there had been surfing that day. air 28, water 42...overhead and a half.

to be honest i'm just not that stoked at sixty three to put on the rubber. if i lived in an ocean front house and could take it off in a hot shower...maybe.

the waves have been really great lately however.

snowboarding anyone?

Randall, the few times I have snowboarded in Brighton Utah, I swore if I grew up near that stuff I would do it more than surfing or skateboarding. Snowboard rides last 10's of minutes, not seconds. You ride up a lift, compare that to any paddle out. There are usually lots of ski bunnies, actually way more than at the beach especially now that sunburns are not fashionable due to skin cancer. And there is beer at the bottom of the mountain. Not to mention drowning, sharks, sea urchins and coral on your feet. Randall, if you are surfing AT ALL at 63 years old you rule and I can only hope I will be doing the same.

steve....i can do anything i ever could...just for not as long. (or not as big ie: surfing). we had three hurricanes in a row over the summer and i had some great sessions....and a few not so great. i agree with you about snowboarding. i've been into it for 35 years. heres two years ago in sun valley. with the right terrain and a good imagination you can make some huge bottom turns on monster waves.
