Update on Bertram 31 Special Raceboat

Post by char »

UPDATE!!!!

Hi Bertram Fans
All of your postings that I have read so far are about the Bertram
31 fishing boats. We just bought a Bertram 31 Special raceboat
from the sixties. I have exhausted the internet without finding any
really good photos or videos of the interiors of those boats.
Ours is in pretty bad shape, so we don't have much to go on.
Would love to restore it to it's original self. Would love to be able
to find out which boat it actually was, don't hold out much hope for
that though, the boat has been painted and changed so much.
Thanks, Char

Someone here might be abel to help out. Where did you buy it and did it have a name on it?

You never know what might be lurking in one of the faithfull's drawers.

Welcome.

Here's one from the Atlantic City rendezvous, you can see some of the interior, maybe someone else has more pics?

thank you, I will put this picture with our collection.
We have been told that only 17 of these raceboats
were built, even still we may never know which one
we have
there was no name on it or serial numbers to be found
As we are taking the boat apart, we think the original
color may have been white

Is your boat set up with one engine forward of helm and one rear of helm one V drive and one straight shaft and does it have single rudder?

I think this one is still for sale if anyone is interested:

He wants 40K but it looks like a runner and is ready to go in NJ.
